Cheap refurbished laptops are the way to go if you are looking for a new Laptop but have a small budget. A refurbished laptop can set you back as little as £170ex VAT which is a lot cheaper than the new alternative. But first before we talk about what to look for in cheap refurbished laptops we should start by discussing what exactly a refurbished laptop is. A refurbished laptop is a computer that has either come from the factory as excess goods, customer returns or simply old stock. Many companies have to make way for new computers every 6 months and therefore sell off any old stock they may have. These laptops are checked for faults and then sealed and made ready for sale. These laptops are not second hand as many people believe. They are in fact just excess.
When looking for cheap refurbished laptops you should consider a few things. What are you using the laptop for? If it is just occasional use then you could go for a basic model, if it is for more frequent use then you should think about buying a laptop with a quick processor. This will make working on it easier and quicker. Another thing to look at is what operating system it has. Windows is the most popular however anything less than windows 97 will not work with many new software options and so should be avoided. You should also think about the size of the monitor. Many people use their laptops during the day when they are at work, on the tube or are on the move then plug them into a monitor when they come home. If you are planning on doing this then maybe think about buying a smaller screen as it won’t be so important. If you are buying for business reasons then why not tin about buying in bulk.
